The Petal bag is a petite tote in a mosaic of my favourite vibrant colours. Its beautiful, meticulous details evolved as I worked with the design features and so many colours that I love. Essentially it is a “double sided” bag, one face features a smoky blue leather with a joyful lavender flower and olive lacing. The reverse has a tan face with buttery cream flower and a cyan blue lacing. The soft pink sides, and smoky peach base are laced with amethyst purple. The bag is available with silver or brass coloured hardware.

The whipstitched leather seams are a continuation of the experiment with using leather lacing that began with The Nancy bag. A cobalt blue nylon cord in the handle connecting to the bag body (because structural integrity is important!) became an integral feature of the colour palette and the whipstitching. The petal bag hits the sweet spot between playful and sophisticated. It’s a statement bag that can dress up or be casual. Carry it by its mustard leather handles or use the detachable tan leather shoulder strap. A petite tote, the body is 25 cm high x 21 cm wide x 5cm deep and it has a magnetic top closure . This bag reflects my slow fashion, sustainable mindset. The intentional and considered design process can be seen in the complex mix of colours and beautiful details.
